
Interactive Media (Video Games)
There are many, many video games that could be on this page. There are 5 big Lovecraftian games that have to do with archaeology, but the catalog of games with these themes continues to expand. Some of the games below are on the list mentioned above, but others are new and exciting. Additionally, Call of Cthulhu (2018) is discussed in the Call of Cthulhu section of this project.

Conarium
Conarium (2017) is a mostly puzzle-based, mystery horror game where the main character (an Anthropologist) attempts to learn what has happened to the rest of the scientists at the Antarctic Base. It was based directly on At the Mountains of Madness.

Dredge
Dredge (2023) is a “cozy” horror, fishing game where the player searches for lost artifacts in a sleepy town, all while trying to avoid the Lovecraftian horrors lurking below the surface attempting to capsize the fishing vessel.

The Last Case of Benedict Fox
The Last Case of Benedict Fox (2023) follows the titular protagonist as he investigates the secrets of his family that await within the confines of their home. He is forced to enter their memories to find their secrets and he also reveals information about a secret order.

The Sinking City
The Sinking City (2019) primarily features an investigator that comes to the island of Oakmont to uncover the mystery behind his nightmares. This game does not feature a lot of overt archaeology, but it does feature a fair number of professors and collections that all encounter a supernatural horror that the protagonist can seek to aide or delay.

Call of the Sea
Call of the Sea (2020) follows Norah Everhart who is following her husband, an archaeologist, to an island where his expedition disappeared. Norah’s journey is surreal and mysterious, as the player completes puzzles to discover the fate of the expedition and what Norah’s mysterious illness is.

Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened
Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened (2023) is a remake of an older game. It is 10th in a series of Sherlock-themed adventure games, but unlike the other it leans heavily into the Lovecraftian horror. This game follows Sherlock around the world, as they attempt to solve a mystery that might be too much for even the world’s greatest detective.
